Vila Kalcuni Luxury Resort

I stayed at this wonderful beachfront hotel and I was extremely pleased with my choice. The hotel is excellently located, right by the beach, just a 5-minute walk to the promenade, and easily accessible on foot from the port. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious, and the staff was always welcoming and polite. The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, adding to the comfort of my stay. And oh, the breathtaking view of the sea from my room! I do have one cautionary note - the toilet seats were a bit small, which might be inconvenient for larger individuals. However, this was a minor drawback compared to the overall appeal of the hotel. At the hotel’s beach, you can rent lounge chairs for 5€, but the rental cost for a beach canopy is 40€. It’s worth noting that the beer at the beach bar is the most expensive in Saranda. Occasionally, there can be some noise from the nearby beach bars, but it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the beach. I recommend bringing water shoes for wading into the water, as the beach is pebbly, but the water is crystal clear as a result. Overall, my stay at this beachfront hotel was very enjoyable, and I relished the beautiful views and convenient location. I highly recommend it to fellow tourists seeking a great beach getaway in Saranda.

This hotel is beyond expectations. Right on the beach and near the center of town. It is very clean, the staff is very friendly. The pool is very nice. The only thing I don't like about this hotel (and it is no fault of their own) but the bar/hotel next blasts their music for a couple of hours in the afternoon/early evening. Unless you are a very heavy sleeper, there will be no afternoon siestas for you! Other than that, a perfect beach vacation spot. Very close to town, an easy walk to the center. Streets are very clean and many markets are nearby.

The hotel and its rooms are very nice. If you get a room facing the sea the view will be great, if not, your room will be facing a wall. Breakfast is very poor and the quality of the food is very low. It could be improve easily by buying some good quality ingredients and adding some options. The service is overall also very poor, the staff working in the pool area is not very supportive. They charge extra for everything (towels, proper coffee during breakfast, etc.)

Friendly English speaking staff. They offer a simple breakfast from 8-10:30am each day. Nice and clean rooms with air conditioning. Good hot water in the showers. There was a hair dryer, full length mirror, and small refrigerator in our room. The beach on the property is very nice and the pool is upkept as well. There are pavilions outside perfect for hanging out or picnics. Hotel has good security. We stayed here in October 2022 and it was nice and quiet in our room. The hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal and on a street full of restaurants and bars. There is a great supermarket a block away. It is about a 10 minute walk to the bus station and center of town. I would recommend this hotel! TIP: do not have the hotel call a taxi for you because you will be charged a higher tourist rate. Walk away from the hotel to get a taxi.

Had a great stay at Vila Kalcuni! Fulfilled our expectations. Very nice view, pretty surroundings and a great sunset by the beach. Coming from Finland we were not impressed by the breakfast, and the pillows were not comfy. Although good service, and the staff was friendly! A good parking for the rental car. Would definitely return.
